We're thrilled to offer these beautifully packaged, eco-friendly grow kits from the Jonsteen Company of McKinleyville, California. A wonderful and interactive way to give back to the Earth, spread some natural beauty, and get growing!

Flower Seed Grow Kits in classic tins. Choose from California poppies, Alaska red poppies, or Rocky Mountain Columbine.

β€’CALIFORNIA POPPIES:Β The California Poppy, Eschscholzia californica, graces many a sun-drenched meadow throughout California and the Southwest with its brilliant orange, saucer-shaped flowers. A swath of California Poppies brings a vivacious splash of color to virtually any open, sunny area, and they are as fun to grow as they are lovely!

β€’ALASKA RED POPPIES: Sometimes called Common Poppy or Field Poppy, Papaver rhoeas is an erect, single-stemmed annual, growing up to about 2 feet-tall. Rising from a bed of deeply lobed, fern-like foliage, each stem holds a single flower: 4 silky red petals, usually 2–4 inches across, which generally bloom from late spring to late summer. There's enough seed here to plant an entire meadow full of poppies β€” almost 90,000 seeds in all! Scattered in an informal planting, this seed will cover about 1,400 square feet.

β€’ROCKY MOUNTAIN COLUMBINE: Aguilegia coerulea was first documented in 1820 by the famous mountain climber Edwin James on top of Pike’s Peak. Today, the Rocky Mountain Columbine is recognized as the official State Flower of Colorado. Over 70 species of Aquilegia exist worldwide, ranging in color from bright red, yellow, and orange, to shades of lavender and purple. This grow kit contains approx. 0.25 oz of seed β€” enough to plant over 100 square feet of flowers!
