*Maker's note: I am VERY excited to announce that I recently updated and improved this customer fave formula with a new oil-soluble form of Vitamin C that is highly stable and keeps the Vitamin C more bioavailable. This formula change- in my personal opinion and testing- takes this fab formula to the next level of awesome and makes it even more gentle for extra sensitive skin.
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is a very stable, oil-soluble Vitamin C ester which has antioxidant activity. Topical use can mitigate the damaging effects of UV exposure. Studies have shown it to stimulate collagen production as well as clarifying and brightening the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis (the production of pigment) thereby promoting a more even skin tone. Unlike ascorbic acid, it will not exfoliate or irritate skin.
Skincare products containing Vitamin C may cause photosensitivity- follow up with a clean, eco-friendly, and quality mineral sunscreen for optimal sun protection.
