What's all the fuss about Turkish towels (sometimes called peshtemal, hammam or fouta towels)? Turkey is known for making some of the highest quality cotton in the world, and these premium towels are no exception. They are lightweight, dry quickly (bye mildewy towel smell), are easy to roll and pack up for the beach or gym, and are incredibly versatile as well as super chic. And the best part? Turkish towels not only spruce up your home decor game, but they become even better with age...successive washings make them even more soft, luxe, and absorbent.
Our Turkish towels are created by a second-generation weaving master in Tavas, Turkey and made from 100% natural cotton.

History of the Turkish towel: A fouta is a piece of thin patterned cotton or linen fabric used in many Mediterranean countries and Yemen, originally Tunisian. Among other uses, they were worn, by both men and women, wrapped around the body while at the public baths in 19th-century Syria.
