Our Limited Edition Scent for February: Love Potion #9
My mom is a music lover and had TONS of great old 45's that I would lock myself into the bedroom with, listening to them on repeat until I knew every word. One of my favorite songs is the original 'Love Potion #9' written in 1959 by The Clovers. As I listened, I visualized every single part of the song...what the gypsy looked like, what the bottle of magic love potion looked like, what it tasted like. To this day, it's still a favorite song...campy and quirky, with a great little story.
This is my sensorial take of Love Potion #9...an ode to a song that captured my imagination and sparked a love for all things esoteric. A mysterious and seductive blend of peppery-citrus bergamot spiked with sea salt, cardamom, and plum in a sensuous base of deep black amber and warm vanilla.
Top notes: Bergamot, sea salt
Middle note: Cardamom, plum
Base notes: Black amber, vanilla
Scent profile: Ozonic, Salted Black Amber, Sensual
Available through February 28th in candles, fine fragrance, and room sprays.
